Yes, why not? As many must have noticed we’re organizing an Oppo meet at the Nürburgring the weekend of September 22-23. After that, many will continue to the Alps until S ept. 28 . But given that Oktoberfest in Munich starts on September 22nd, we’ll go to the Alps via Munich. Everyone is still invited!
Among who’ve committed to coming we had a little survey, where going via Munich came out strongly ahead.
And by the way, it will be a very varied group. There will be people from the UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and the United States. Maybe France and Spain as well.

I’ll have to take a look. My best friends and I are in London September 20-21 and Munich 22-29 for Oktoberfest. We’ll have a car the first few days so I’ll see if the meet up schedule will work with ours.
I’m also from the United States as well so this would be a cool chance

Because our schedule changed a bit after recently finding out the museum(s) we wanted to visit in Stuttgart on Monday were closed, the exact way we’ll spend Sunday late afternoon until Tuesday isn’t set in stone at this point. If you wish we can keep you in the loop. Route, but also the time/exact location when we’re at Oktoberfest. This can be done via Oppo, but email or phone might be easier.

Let’s see..... I have about $2500 in the bank. $1500 of that is going to bills. I could hypothetically go and just ride along with someone, but.... ~$1000 for a weekend with strangers and no spending money? Damn. I wish I had a better-paying job. If I had just double my budget, I’d be able to make a week-long trip out of it.

It’ll be a full week when you’re including Oktoberfest and the Alps, but yes.
Depending on where you fly from and if you’re a bit flexible I predict you can do the Atlantic flight + hotels/airbnbs + food for roughly $1000, for a week for 1 person. If you shop around you might even get a rental car included for that price; I’m spotted slightly over €100 for the right 7 days at Frankfurt airport, for a Fiat 500 class car.

It’s tempting, but I dunno. I’d rather wait until I have more than just *enough* to make it work. You never know what’s going to happen.

Although you'd be very welcome, I think you're right.
